Happily Ever After

I am not a cynic infact quite the contrary. I am a diehard romantic and love sappy movies and books. In fact I thrive on them. But once the last song music dies down the last page of novel is over. I always wonder about the ‘happily ever after’.
Our movies always show romances between complete opposites or between social classes. Here are a few examples of what I think might have happened to some popular Indian screen romances:
Maine Pyar Kiya
Prem would have soon gotten over his infatuation to Suman. He has studied abroad and she has only studied till 12th that too in a village. Not really made for each other. There are diverse interest would have soon led to divorce and a hefty alimony for Suman.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
The perfect pair of Raj & Simran. Once back in London, Simran would have soon realized that apart from having failed in graduation, Raj was also a flirt, a drunkard and completely way ward. Being an enterprising girl I am sure she would have soon take over the business reins of Raj’s father. They would have divorced with Raj getting a hefty alimony

Dil To Pagal Hai
The extra cosy friendship between Rahul and Nisha would have rankled on Pooja’s nerves. And she would have given him the ultimatum. Choose your friend or me.

Raja Hindustani
She was a heiress and married a taxi driver. I am sure you all know what would have been the outcome after a few years.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Once Anjali realized that Rahul was still mooning over his dead wife she would not have taken too kindly to the situation. What with a larger than life portrait of her hanging around. Also the past must have rankled between them, when Rahul had favored the more stylish Tina. Plus with 2 same names in the house there must be a lot of confusion. Anjali not deciding to play second fiddle must have called Salman Khan back and renewed her engagement with him. Serving notice to Rahul.

Salaam Namaste
The lack of money and burden to of 2 kids would have driven the axe in the relationship of Amber and Nick. Plus their ambitions would have soon rekindled and they would have realized parting ways and finances was best idea.
just food for thought...
